In 2015 xat.com was hacked and emails users password ips and join dates where breached
Xat used crc32 unsalted hashes, and thoose enable hash collisions meaning there where theoretically billions of passwords tied to 1 hash. So if somebody had a password collision they could logon toy oure account without the actual password you used since crc32 hashes are only 8 characters
Ive dehashed 2.7m of theese crc32 hashes with the most common passwords to ensure password collision happens the least possible but some passwords may still be collided
Xat.com launched in 2006 was used up until 2015 (data of breach) and was a chatroom plugin for online games such as club penguin and runescape
